Not a problem. It's probably worth a try to install an older version of the Intel graphics driver to check if that helps. I just renamed the whole Elecard directory to Bak_Elecard and rechecked the wmp and this time it showed the AC3 filter. It is so upsetting that the Tech here gives a LINK for further SUPPORT to their premium paid contacts... - During Nero Installation, I did tick a box that I think was asking if I would be playing dvds from Europe or America, and I ticked Europe, when i think these
- I tried others but had no audio.
- Seems the only thing in common is the Intel graphics, which is the same driver for both.

HASH, thanks very much for the link, but unfortunately it made no difference to the status of my Windows Media Player. Bottom line is that WMP will block you from even transferring or making copies of your own content from your computer. But this does not mean WMP12 will play them, as it will not, but instead you use Windows Media Center to do so (C:\Windows\ehome\ehshell.exe) once you bought it.

As for Blu-ray drives and discs, if Windows Media Player is not able to play the disc even with the codecs installed, you may have to try install something like VLC from Most likely your MPEG-2 Decoder would be Cyberlink PowerDVD or Intervideo WinDVD. Or maybe MS is so darn intwined with developing Win8.1 that it can't be bothered fixing stuff ups that they've introduced with Windows 7. Hopefully, you read this before thinking it's some problem with Windows or with your DVD drive, etc as I have seen some people re-install Windows or get a new DVD drive
