I cannot get to the internet wired OR wirelessly.... So, the problem appears to be with your router as it is not giving out addresses. Your computer will repeat that request ("Would the DHCP server listening please assign me an IP address!") a few times, and then it'll give up.

Was simple really and I got the clue from another page about the issue with people who said that the problem seemed to arise when they got a new router. Third pc (C) shows no error in terms network card and cross cable and sending packets or frames (datagrams) but does not receive any from host, likewise host (A) is also If you check your IP on your machine and it starts with "169." that's a made-up IP address. EVERY single connection I make comes back with: "Connection was unsuccessful" BUT, it says CONNECTED, AND it says Limited COnnectiviy..
The problem is that I cannot connect to the internet via a wired LAN (I know the wired LAN works as I've tested it with other computers). Btw, he doesn't still have the motherboard drivers, so no luck there... Available Virtual Mem. 1.96Gb. That's not to say it definitely works now of course.

My laptop works fine with a wireless connection. No I//E, no Mozilla. the cable is good) then reboot. Uninstalling McAfee worked instantly!
Reply Daniel July 7, 2015 at 11:38 am My sister is getting a limited connectivity error on her desktop. So this means the PC detects that there's a connection but cannot obtain an IP. Not sure if my solution will work for others but it’s a pretty easy step to take when looking to resolve this problem.
