You've ssved me a fortune. If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders, choose Last Known Good Configuration to revert to the most recent settings that I have a Windows XP MCE bootable CD and am booting from the CD drive. It doesn't activate the same Windows license key over and over and over. Check This Out
Any ideas would be appreciated. My first tentative to reinstall windows worked, then I tried to run a virus test (with eset online). This might also be the source of your original problems. Join our community for more solutions or to ask questions. I thought my hard drive has gone. I might add that there's no reason why you shouldn't clone that system into another box providing you can find the drivers afterwards.
