I'm also facing same problem with my wireless adapter. The Xbox One controller does not appear in Devices and Printers. It is frustrating, considering these devices retail at $25.00 each. ipconfig still gives the same results as before also.
Under Network adapters, please tell me all the devices listed. On the confirmation window, check Delete the driver software for this device. If it's in need of these driver updates it will probably say "XBOX ACC" but may something else with an explanation point or warning icon. Sadly, Microsoft does a fantastic job of hiding these files deep within their site.
